Ski Open Heart’s First Annual Toy Drive

Date: December 11, 2012 (7 A.M. – 10 P.M.)

Description: On Tuesday, December 11, 2012, Ski’s Open House Foundation’s 1st Annual Toy Drive was held at Canz-a-Citi Roadhouse in Patchogue from 7-11 pm. During the toy drive there was a special performer singing holiday classics, a Chinese Auction, a door prize, and guest appearance by Santa and Mrs. Clause. There were 276 people that showed up to show their support for the Foundation and donated toys, which filled our 24-foot trailer.

Date: August 16-18, 2012 (3 A.M. – 10 P.M.)

Description: Over the course of three days, the riders made their way from the Flight 93 Memorial in Stoystown, PA then to the Pentagon in Washington D.C., and finally ended in NYC, where the riders visited the 9/11 memorial at Ground Zero. As the riders made their way through the towns, people came out and watched as the participants rode in commemoration of the 9/11 attacks.

Date: July 31, 2012 (12 P.M. – 8 P.M.)

Description: A blood Drive was held on July 31, 2012 at the Suffolk County Ambulance from 12-8pm. Over 60 people attended the blood drive and we were able to donated Automated Red Cells and Whole Blood for future use in the hospitals.
