Ski’s Open Heart Foundation Launch Party

By on

Ski’s Open Heart Foundation (the “Foundation”) is being launch in memory of a true American hero. Our mission is to provide the resources necessary for our fellow Americans, who continue to suffer as a result of being directly or indirectly impacted by the events of September 11, 2001, so that they may live a full and satisfying life. This foundation was created by the surviving family members of Mark “Ski” Gajewski, who was a volunteer at Ground Zero and lost his life in December 2011 due to a rare form of Lung Cancer associated with the hazards of spending 2,900 hours down at the site. In addition to helping 9/11 victims and their families, we strive to continue the benevolent work of Mark Gajewski by contributing to the children and animal charities that he supported during his life.

Visitors to this site can share their own personal stories, learn more about the foundation and donate to our great causes via the mail, online or through up-coming events.

Not only will this day be the day the Foundation’s website, Facebook, and Twitter, but it is also the birthday of the Foundation’s inspiration, Ski.
